Biography

Ressurrector knew from an early age he was quite different from the other children around him. His love for music and art began early in his adolesent life. His love of the paranormal and scifi always made him the "freak" around his peers at school. His truly "sick" sense of humor served to get him into trouble on more than a few occasions in his life. In his early high school years he took up guitar playing and his musical career truly began. He took a classical guitar class in school and from there bought several guitar books and magazines and furthered his guitar playing. Ress was a big fan of thrash and death metal. And was truly inspired by some of his favorite metal bands like pantera,slayer,deicide,morbid angel,death,and metallica to name a few. However Ressurrector was no stranger to rap music either. In high school he was one of the few "white" boys that truly watched Yo Mtv Raps almost every time it aired. After high school Ressurrector was involved in an event that would change his life forever, when 5 local Athens,TN men threw a tombstone over an interstate bridge an critically injured a michigan woman. What began as an innocent all hallow's eve looking for ghost escalated into a dastardly deed which left a woman injured and 5 men to blame. The "TOMBSTONE 5" as the media called them would go on to be tryed and convicted of charges ranging from reckless endangerment to aggravated assault. Ress spent almost an entire year in jail for the actions of the "Tombstone 5". The media publicity at the time was horrendous. One of the biggest events to ever happen to Athens,TN and prolly east TN for that matter. For almost 6 months Ress watched as the faces of him and the rest of the tombstone 5 were displayed on almost every newspaper and tv station for 200 miles. Upon getting free from jail in 96 Ress bought a drum machine and a keyboard and returned to music making. And this time began to frequent a few local studio's. A few simple demo metal songs were made and without vocals. At the time of the recordings was the birth of stable pc recording technology. Ress decided he would try and record himself at home on his home pc. So he purchased some music software and began to record at home. Ress joined a side project group called "synthetic flesh" with his friend Todd Appleton and his new found friend Travis Morgan. The groups sound was a mix of industrial and thrash metal. A few demo songs were made and were uploaded to mp3.com (r.i.p.) After about 6 months the group broke up and everyone went their separate ways. Todd and Travis moved to florida to attend Full Sail recording colledge. About a year after that its rumored that Travis Morgan was approached at a florida bar by a record exec from TVT records. Travis not believing the guy was a real exec supposedly cussed the man out only to find out later he was really from TVT. Meanwhile Ress began recording "customers" from his small home recording studio. Through the years Ress and the studio moved to many different locations around Athens,TN. But the customers base steadily grew and then the name "studio animosity" was born. After about 9 years of recording and producing "other" artist Ress decided it was time to go back to his roots and step out of the studio control room and back into the booth as the "artist" and not the producer. Ress took a few of his older horrorcore tracks he had recorded from years past and cleaned them up and began his recording of his first cd "Powers That Be." Being a huge fan of horror movies and sci fi Ress feels "at home" with horrorcore music. Ressurrector's goal is to be a successfull music artist or producer and bring credibility and respect to the horrorcore genre.
