KGP(kapitol g productionz) first made a name for himself
as local saginaw rapper White G. He released Nevaafraid and then left his label
to create his own. Kapitol G created Mentality Records and held an audition
which led to him signing Saginaw's own UNLV(unholy niggaz livin vital) who later
left the label. UNLV released an ep which featured production exclusivly by
KGP and a track featuring Kapitol G.
After UNLV left the label, Kapitol G began working on
a solo album, he decided this cd was going to be wicked, since at the time he
was listening to tons of wicked shit in the same vein as esham and unlv. He
was also really into death metal at the time so he made sure to express that
in his music. Somewhere along the line, im not really sure where, he met up
with Curt D, who desperately wanted to release a rap cd. Kap listened to what
he had and said they would work together on this cd forming one of the most
powerful alliances in this genre. Curt D's dark raspy gutteral voice coupled
with Kapitol G's higher pitched voice went together perfectly. Forming a sound
not heard in this genre that fans responded to. They released Necrology together
which featured death metal band the miscreants, and got tons of responces from
death metal circles, which helped KGP do countless death metal shows. KGP's
name exploded on the michigan scene, and escalated them to the point of playing
the third hallowicked show thrown by the Insane Clown Posse and house of krazees.
Eventually Curt D leaves KGP and forms Bedlam with Staplez(now
weapon x) and Prozak, leaving kapitol g solo again. Kap released acidikrevelationz
with a pleathora of guests ranging from bedlam to deadlockz, to Destiny. The
cd didnt generate as much of a responce as Necrology had and Kapitol G began
work on his next album.
Hellusination was said to be the last kgp cd to be released
ever. Kap was sick of making music and wanted to move onto spending life with
his wife and just enjoying himself on an end he wasnt getting out of music.
The cd itself wasnt very well received,a lthough die hard kgp fans enjoyed it,
not many others did. It wasnt as intense as Necrology, and that left a whole
in kgp fans stomachs.
It wasnt long before selfmade records found out about
Kaps departure from music and offered him a contract to come out of retirement,
with pushing from his friends and fans he took it and got back into the groove
full force. Releasing the first KGP solo album, THA UNGOD, kap left a mark in
wicked shit. This one cd, which features a nakedwoman, nailed to a cross in
an empty, torn up church, with roaches covering her body as cover art left an
impression on fans and haters alike.
Set back after set back kept the cd from being released
for a while and eventually made Kapitol G break ties with selfmade records.
Back on his own again, he released tha ungod at the gathering of juggalos 2002.
Shortly after he began working on another album, Sick
Shitz and Porno Flickz, which was almost completed earlier this year, but will
never see the light of day as a full cd. Kap has officially retired from making
music and instead just helps out on this site. He says musick will always be
in his life, just not his. Hed rather be a fan and support artists he likes
