Kannibalistik |
| Biography |
Towards the end of his grade school venture, he learned some fellow classmates who he seldom associated with knew how to get by on the drums and guitar, and again the artistic gears in his mind began to turn. He approached the two individuals and pitched his idea of forming a heavy metal group, which he volunteered to front. The two seemed more than happy to work on this project, the first few months of the band's existence looked promising, but you never can tell what the future holds. Eventually the dedication of the two members fizzled out. A lot more talking happened than actual action. So once again Keno took a deep breath, and bowed out in search of something that would work.
For a year creating music was absent from his life, spending most of his time in a dish pit making minimum wage to be able to afford instruments and equipment. Eventually a new computer was purchased and access to the internet granted. This is where the real creation of KannibalistiK began. He discovered an artist by the name of KGP, who had a style unlike anything he had heard before, it was rap driven songs, with a heavy metal edge with rantings of sex, booze, death, and drugs, which was right up the alley for someone so into the dark aspect of life. He decided that if he couldn't hold a four person band together, this could be his next means of musical expression, or something similar.
Another group was formed and lasted for a year, frequently changing members but managed to release one demo. During this project, in 1999, is when Keno started to produce. He had the lyrical ability but no beats and felt that having someone produce for him would make him less of an artist and would also limit his creative skills, so some equipment was bought and some additional software and his dream finally came to life. After the demo was released the other initial members all called it quits except one. Together him and Keno decided to close the book on this project and start fresh. Taking part of a song title he had wrote long ago, KannibalistiK veered its ugly face into the light.
The start was slow and saw the departure of Keno's friend and musical partner from the group. During the course of the next year of his life, Blood Thirsty was written, recorded, and released seeing a moderate amount of success. Living closest to a city with next to no musical independence, he began putting on shows, paying out of his own pocket, booking as many bands as possible, to try and breath life into the local music scene, he was successful.
Presently Keno continues working on KannibalistiK full
force, along with various other side projects. Only the future knows what he
has instore.
