Biography

"As a kid, i grew up completely opposed to rap music. I was a metal head to the fullest. With my tight black wrangler jeans an metallica an megadeth t-shirts, i would continuously bash rap music to all those who would liked it. But never-the-less i group up with an undying love for music. Gettin more to my teenage years i started to expand my musical horizons. Becoming more open minded i gave some rap a chance. Soon realizing that not all of it is bad. The 2 i mostly listened to were ICP an Eminem. This of course was before their fued. I got heavily into ICP an when the fight broke out i stopped listening to eminem. But as time went by i started to realize that its ignorant to not listen to one group because another group doesnt like them. So i got back into eminem. From there i started listenin to rap stations on the radio, givin anythign that came on a shot. It was sophmore year of high school, when a buddy of mine approached on starting a rap group of our own. I thought the idea was rediculous for i have never tried to really rap in my life. Now on the other hand, i have always sang. Never in front of anyone for fear of being made fun of, but i sang all the time when by myself. I knew i had a decent voice but still had that bit of uncertainty. But anyways, i told my friend sure, what the hell. Shortly after the decision was made we purchased ACID an i began making beats. We agreed i would make the beats only because i had been playing guitar for 2 years, an i had a little better understanding about music an how it was written. And so was the birth of AsyluM. We made several releases which were all recorded in my kitchen on a computer with a 10$ mic from walmart. Slowly we developed a fan base much to our surprise. We did a number of shows, in various cities in mass. By the time we were out of high school we had released 2 full length LP's an was in the works of making the 3rd. It was around this time that a friend of mine said she knew someone, Crakd, in Ma that also rapped, an wasnt half bad. She introduced me to him over the internet. He went on about owning his own studio and said if we wanted to record anything he'd hook us up. We took him up on the offer an did a collab with his group X-Scraped. From there we recorded our 3rd full length LP that still has never seen the light of day. Crakd, along with my girlfriend -Jamie Jones- at the time, started getting me to try new things. I started rapping in my normal voice, instead of the 'zombie' voice i used in asylum. As time went on, AsyluM faded away, but i kept moving on, developing my own, new style of singing an rapping. The first chorus i ever sang was the chorus to 'This War', which i wrote about some girl i dont like. And from then on, i started to be less shy about my singing, an open up alot more. After recording the 3 solo tracks an 3 collabs on Good Intentions, i felt it was time to start working on my own solo cd. Of course it was almost 7 months later before i really sat down an started workin on my cd. The name Symphony Of Suicide was the first thing to pop in my head, and from there i began workin on songs. 9 months later my 10 track cd was completed, and ready for pressing."
